Headed to Philmont, Sea Base or taking your troop or Crew on a wilderness experience?

At least on leader in your group must have Wilderness First Aid

Wilderness First Aid is a two-day introduction to general medical concepts and basic life support skills. This training is targeted to Scout Leaders that are taking troops or crews into the backcountry where medical help is more that an hour away.

Course topics are:

Patient Assessment System; CPR; Circulatory System; Nervous System; Respiratory System; Fractures, Stable Injuries; Splints 1-Extremities; Hypothermia; Hyperthermia and Heat Illness; Near Drowning; Lightning Injuries; Wounds and Burns; Anaphylaxis; Lifting, Moving Extrication; Patient Carries; Backcountry Medici

The course begin at 7:30 pm on Friday.  On Saturday it will run 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday and 8:00 am to Noon on Sunday.  You are welcome to stay at camp on Friday and Saturdays nights.

Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.  If  you stay at camp on Saturday, you will be responsible for your own dinner. 

All participants must be at least 14 years of age and have completed CPR/AED Training prior to the start of the course

The course is limited to 20 participants.

To offset the service cost of electronic payments a convenience fee will be added to all credit card and electronic check payments.  To avoid these convenience fees you may mail or deliver your payments to one of the council offices.  This fee will not be charged for fundraising events.
